JANUARY NEWS

Hey, Casting Guy!
Or Gal... Looking to cast your film with Hollywood's Rising Talent? Then, you, my friend, have come to the right place. That's right, our cupboards are chock full with over 100 Los Angeles actors! If you haven't been here in a while, changes are always being made, and you'll be surprised to find lots of new talented faces on our pages.
Why should you look on this website? Good question... here's the good answer.

IT WILL SAVE YOU TIME!

"How will it save me time?" you ask. Because the field has already been weeded for you. We personally "know" about 75% of the actors on our site. When we say "know" them... we mean we've been in a production with them, studied with them or they're buds. The rest are there from referrals. We've already selected out good actors for you to cast... ALL of the actors on the site are local to Los Angeles and most have extensive resumes (some of the younger ones are beginners).
Actors can be easily contacted through the information on their individual pages. Use the "Pico Search Box" to streamline your casting for specific qualities.

We Feel So Used!

So just how many production companies out there have cast their projects from The Actor's Bone? More than you can shake a big stick at... more than you can count on all your fingers and toes... more than... well, you get the idea.
Projects that've already taken advantage of this site include HeyAnita.com, which called in several Actor's Bone actors (Bonnie Athene Gillespie booked this voiceover gig). Murder in Paradise, a feature film suspense crime-thriller booked six actors from this here site. The Teddy Bear Syndrome pulled in an actor after finding him here. And there's Lori Petro who got free headshots after a professional photographer saw her mug posted right here. But wait, there's more...

Sensitive Johnson Is Wrapped!
Sensitive Johnson has been shot, and all the guns are back in their holsters. Now it's on to hours and hours in the dark for a little editing. The shoot was fast and furious, but of course, that was after six months of careful preparation. Only his characters are wacky, Chris is not.
What actors from this site will you see in this movie? Oh, just a few... not. Try quite a few... how about Chris Valenti, Sean Barnes, Vince Jolivette, Nori Jill Phillips, Susan Han, Richie Magallanes and Paul Molinaro? Yup, they're all in there!
Follow the hyperlink below to see the editing process as it happens. Check streaming video of selected scenes as they become available. See the trailer, stills from the shoot and the amusing ways that Chris has raised cash. To learn more than you'd ever want to know about Chris and his Sensitive Johnson follow the link.

Actors on the Move!

They said it could never be done. It isn't possible. No way. But wordsmith, thespian and producer Barry Carver just finished his short film Romeo & Juliet Revisited. He has made "dead people live happily ever after." The previews have been previewed, and as expected... we are impressed!
Behind the scenes are some great stories as well... like how he got quite a financial boost from actors Cami Waldeck and Nicholas Fee who each raked in $10,000 after winning "The Lycos 2000 Model Search." They then gave Barry half of their cash to bankroll his film. And you can watch it all right here...

"See dead people live
happily ever after!"

Sean Michael Allen's short film hit Betrayal, hit the number three spot on the charts at ifilm.com. Director Allen advises a strong "viewer discretion" if you plan on watching this one, as it's strictly for mature, but immature-for-their-age adults!
Making this short film has actually gotten Sean several offers in acting as well as directing. If this is what he do on a shoestring budget, imagine what he could do with bootlaces!

"Oh Max...!"

Scraps

"I can trace some of the work I've been offered directly to The Actor's Bone. The Bone has been surprisingly helpful and supportive and I'll happily continue our relationship. I have seen plenty of organizations offer half as much at twice the price... and treat actors unscrupulously at every turn. Pete &  Paul and The Actor's Bone clearly have the actor's best interest in mind in everything I've seen them do."
- N. Barry Carver

"I've received so darn many offers just from The Actors Bone (actorsbone.com) alone that I would have to say that some web presence is a good thing."
-Stacey Webb

"I received another audition thanks to The Actor's Bone. Two calls in two weeks is pretty darn good. So, thank you thank you thank you for your Actor's Bone efforts!!!"
- Alison Kay

Bones!

"I was recently at a UCLA Grad student audition, and I overheard two directors talking about finding actors and one suggested that the other go online to The Actors Bone as he had had a lot of success with people there."
- Adam Pilver

Off-Off Boneway
For all those actors way off-off Broadway, heading out west and up north... as in Seattle! Don't feel you're in the dark... 'cause someone left the light on for ya... and that someone is Joseph Dean Coburn. After teaching for many years at The Playhouse West in North Hollywood, JD set up shop in his old stomping grounds. Hollywood's loss is Seattle's gain.
