John Van Druten

 

Biography:
     Born 1901 in London, England. First successful play was Young Woodley in 1928. After several years and considerable success in the USA, he became a US citizen in 1944. The Voice of the Turtle, his most successful play with an American setting, was produced in 1943. Died 1957.
