David Rabe

Born 1940 in Dubuque, Iowa. Many of his plays are written from his personal experience in the Vietnam "War."

 

The Crossing Guard
     A fast-paced story of two men in conflict, by a Tony and Obie Award-winning author. A bitter father plots vengeance against the drunk driver, John Booth, who killed his young daughter after the man is released from prison. The film based on this novel stars Jack Nicholson and Anjelica Huston and is directed by Sean Penn.
